Olson 25 - Water Rat

Last week I sailed on Kevin Ratigan's 25' Olson.  A fun fast boat with a small cockpit.  We go out tomorrow and hopefully the spinnaker handling will be crisper than last week when the crew was all just learning the boat.  This boat like many at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron are dry sailed.  It  gets trailered over to the lift where it is pick up and gently lowered into the water.  The reverse procedure is done at the end of the day.

Holder 20

I sailed on Bob Miller's Holder 20 on Saturday in the Pumkin Regatta out of Sarasota.  A fun boat  that goes fast.  Built in 1983, and designed by Ron Holder and built by the Hobie Company.  The boat weighs 1160 pounds and has a 335 bulb keel that drops down and  draws just under 4 feet.  I can't wait to get on this  boat again in a  breeze and get it planing.
